A place in the sun

In this the inaugural post of Sunshine & Noir, for you lucky few, whom will actually see and read this, I present a collection of summer songs for your listening pleasure. Accompanied by a brief description of the context in which one could receive the most enjoyment potentially possible from each tune.

1. The Car: Heartsabiatch [Nas & Jose Gonzalez vs. Funky Gold Teeth]

Created with the sensitive thug in mind, this sonic amalgamation is equal parts Queensbridge and Vintage Cardigan. Perfect for counting money on the freeway, or feeling heartbroken while weaving through traffic on a fixie.

2. Poolside: Holy Spank Ghost [Holy Ghost & Spank Rock vs. Funky Gold Teeth]

To properly get down to this jam, one should be sipping a fine belgian ale, puffing an overpriced european cigarette. Haunches covered in a Marc Jacobs mankini, flanked by two beauties from Belarus who don't speak a lick of English and model at YSL trunk shows. You should never have more than two wet dollars in your shorts.

3. The Dancefloor: Gossip From School Pt. 3 [Frankie Smith & Hot Chip & Ludacris vs. Funky Gold Teeth]

I made this one for the brothers in the party
to find a hottie and dance body to body...

4. The Boudoir: Touch Me Baby by Myrna Hauge

The accouterments of romance.
